Aye Carumba

To say we've been busy, would be an understatement. Not only did we sell our Lake house, have to move all of our belongings to the farm house, but we also had baby Parker over here for 4 days (with momma and daddy of course), put on a festival at work AND worked on the house day and night, night and day.
How's that for a run on sentence?

So here's the proof....
It's not 100%, but I would say in 7 days the downstairs should be D O N E!

What a difference some paint can do on an ugly old wood paneled wall.

Our room, um, I mean the cat's room...

Waiting for new bedroom furniture to arrive.

So let's review, this is BEFORE......

The horrible bathroom
Horrible bathroom Duex!

Ugly laminate in the living room..

Dark ugly paneling AND the ugliest carpet you've ever seen!

I have to say, I'm pretty proud of us! We took a VERY ugly house, and made it into a home...
There are still many things to finish, furniture to arrange, carpet to be laid and the whole upstairs to complete, but we are well on our way. Yay!

Hurry hurry, faster faster

Before

Murphy "helping"

After
Oh good golly... we need to crank up this remodel into high gear. A LOT has been accomplished but there is so much yet to be done.

This weekend we are putting in the wood floor, up to the dining area. There are some issues with the floor in the dining room that need to be addressed (two different heights for one) and we aren't exactly sure what to do with that. But the wood floor is beautiful, and I'll get some photo's up soon.

We are having a washer and dryer delivered here next Sunday, so we can finally quit driving to the Lake house to do our laundry. That's a big deal for me!! We also are changing which bedroom we are in and trying to decide what furniture to put where. We have a big cream behemoth leather couch that I adore, but I'm not sure if it'll fit into the living room here or not. No doubt it will take up the majority of the space, but the way we live, when not working, is in a reclining position on said couch. So who needs floor space?

We've decided to make only one room a guest room. That's another story all together, but suffice it to say.. I don't think we will have multiple guests over too often, so we decided not to have a bunch of empty guest rooms here... The lake house had 3 bedrooms that we  rarely used. Christmas and Thanksgiving. So if our whole family comes once in a great while, they will have to sleep on the behemoth leather couch! HA!
